Lemon Avocado Bagel With Sliced Radishes And Chia Seeds

Lemon Avocado Bagels With Radishes And Chia Seeds

One of my favorite things to do for a ladies lunch or ladies activity to going to tea. My mother-in-law turned me onto tea several years ago, and we made the rounds to all of the local tea houses. Back then, there were quite a few tea houses in the greater Sacramento area, and Natalie even started going with us when she turned five.

I love sitting down to a decadent high tea or full afternoon tea. I love the fancy china, the tea cups, the tea, and the food, and I love spending a leisurely afternoon chatting with the other women in my life.

Unfortunately, pretty much all of the tea houses close to us closed one by one — it’s so sad!

The only great tea house I know of that is remotely close to us is Linde Lane Tea Room in Dixon, California. They have a small tea shop, a few beautifully decorated rooms to reserve for parties, and lots of general seating. And, even though they don’t have my favorite tea (Creme Brulee), they do have a large selection of other delicious teas.

My daughter, my mom, my sister, my mother-in-law, and I all have birthdays within a month of each other, so last year we celebrated with a full tea at Linde Lane Tea Room — and we sat in the giant tea cup! We had so much fun, that we’ve been back twice, even though it’s over an hour away.

Tea Party At Home

Needless to say, driving over an hour each way for tea isn’t something we can do all the time. So Natalie and I decided to invite my mom and mother-in-law over for a casual tea party at our house.

Now the best part of a tea party other than the tea is the food, which is served in mini portions! At our tea party we served:

  • Cranberry and apricot scones with butter cream
  • Quinoa salad
  • Chicken almond salad sandwiches on mini croissants
  • Taragon chicken salad sandwiches on sour batard
  • Lemony avocado bagels with radishes and chia seeds
  • Fudge Brownies
  • Seven Layer Magic Bars
  • Lemon Bars

I’ll share all of these recipes with you soon, but today you have got to try the Lemony Avocado Bagel With Radishes And Chia Seeds. These have become one of my favorite quick lunch snacks because they are super tasty, super easy, and super fast.

Lemon juice gives this quick lunch or snack a tart flavor that pairs beautifully with radishes.
