Disney On Ice Presents Worlds Of Enchantment

Disney On Ice Worlds Of Enchantment

Disney On Ice Worlds Of Enchantment was awesome. Natalie and I had a blast as guests of Feld Entertainment and Disney On Ice at opening night and a special pre-show event for local bloggers.

When we arrived, we joined a group of other Sacramento bloggers — like Jessica Briggs of Blog About It All and Justine Dove of Little Dove Blog — and the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California for a pre-show party with strawberry and banana kabobs, a variety of STEM related activities, and a character meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. It was planned by my good friend Heather Atherton of Atherton PR and she always puts on a top notch experience.

After the pre-party, Natalie and I headed up to the main concourse to grab dinner from Cafe Bernardo, pick up hot churros to conjure the deliciousness of Disneyland churros, and find our seats for another amazing night of Disney magic and entertainment.

Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment is at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento from November 7th through November 10th. It showcases beloved characters from Disney/Pixar’s Cars and Toy Story 3, and Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Frozen.

The first half of the show was dominated by a long Toy Story feature with all of our favorite characters escaping Sunnyside Daycare to get back to Andy’s Room. It was awesome seeing our favorite characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Bullseye, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex, Ham, Slinky, Ken and Barbie, and Lotso (Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear) out on the ice — we loved seeing Woody fly through the air hanging from a paper airplane and laughed through Ken and Barbie’s antics and Buzz’s Spanish mode.

Mickey and Minnie then took us under the sea for a quick run-through of The Little Mermaid, which had us singing along with a few of our favorite tunes as Ariel falls in love with Prince Eric, loses her voice to Ursula, Kisses Eric, and gets her voice back and her legs to live on land. Our only wish was that we got more of The Little Mermaid as it was far too short!

After intermission, Mickey and Minne took us on a road trip visiting Radiator Springs and Arendelle. When their car broke down, Mater the tow-truck came to the rescue and we met Lightning McQueen, Sally, Ramone, and Flo, who drove around the ice and had ALL of the kids around us cheering and screaming. But once again, it was over far too soon as the ice was transformed into the wintery world of Arendelle with sisters Anna and Elsa and pals Olaf and Kristoff from Disney’s Frozen as they learn that true love comes from within.

It was a fantastic night of Disney magic with dazzling skating, special effects, and timeless characters. If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend, I highly recommend you snag some tickets and check it out!
